Well, since you asked: I am an almost 66 year old Oregon gal. Actually born in Los Angeles but moved to Gold Beach (on the mighty Rogue River) when I was 9. My parents bought a 5 acre parcel on the river and developed it into a resort, which is still there. Consequently I grew up on the river, graduated in a class of around 100 in 1966. From there is was 1 year of college at Southern Oregon then on to University of Oregon (GO, DUCKS!) School of Nursing. Spent many years at a small hospital in Coquille, OR where I did practically all kinds of care but much preferred emergency and intensive care. Years passed and about 9 1/2 years ago I decided I was getting too old (well, my knees and back were getting too old) to keep pounding up ad down concrete floors so I made the move and am now a nurse at Shutter Creek Correctional Institution which is NOT assoc iated with Shutter Island, although sometimes I wonder. We provide mostly outpatient care for 299 men, meeting both chronic health and acute care needs. We also occasionally provide emergency care, stabilizing them until an ambulance arrives. I have been married to the same, extremely patient man for going on 46 years. We have two children and one grandchild, 3 dogs and several cats. I am addicted to succulents and cacti but enjoy gardening in general. Am looking forward to the day I can retire, at least from working full time, so we can load up the dogs and head out camping. I have read all of Ed's books, loved the little end-time twists, and can hardly wait for True Haunting II to come out!
